Shutting down
I've haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm thinking of shutting down this blog and moving it to my space...

Consider both.
I hate MySpace. I practically never visit and I don't update my blog there. The site is ugly, chock full of ads, and I hate the requests from lewd minded folks.
On the other hand, I like that I can sample music there (and that's why I signed up.)
I started a blog at Shoutlife, and it's pleasanter so far, less ads-riddled and no lewd propositions so far.
But as an artist, surely wanting to get your art in front of as many as you can, I"d say keep this and open MySpace, cause MySpace requires registration, and blogger will come up on google searches and is open to all to see.
Just my two cents.
