Let No Man Steal Your Treasure

Well I'm back. Sunday was a nice day. My brother & sister in-law came down and met us at the Texas Roadhouse for lunch & then they came over to our house for a nice visit. After they left Roy took a nap, because he started on night shift.
After Roy got up we got ready and went to church. My brother, Chad is our paster. We have church for now in my moms basement. I know it doesn't sound like much of a church, but let me tell ya.. we have some very good holy ghost shoutin' times. We have really good music too. This past Sunday Paster Chad preached about "let no man steal your treasure". He asked a question "how can a man steal your treasure"? The sermon was about how a man can steal your treasure. One of the things he pointed out was by getting your eyes on a man's earthly treasures and how you began to want his earthly treasures. He said then you loose site of your real treasure which is in Jesus Christ. He preach how our real treasure is through him and the gift of the Holy Ghost + Gift of the spirits. He also preach about fasting and prayer.
I've been thinking on the sermon that was preach. Yesterday evening I went down in my backyard under my trees and set in my swing I began to read the bible & think on the things that were preached. I know that I have lost sight of my first love from time to time. The bible says we have all sinned and fell short of the glory of God. But I pray that God will forgive me. I'm starting to feel better in spirit and I'm getting more of a desire for the things of God. I want to grow more through him and be a shinning light unto others.
You know when I was more focus on God I got more art finished and I didn't draw as much as I do now. I have been feeling guilty of some other things too. I have alot of ideas that God gave me in the middle of the night. I haven't been drawing them. Sometimes I have a lot of pressure especially around this time of the year. I've wanted so bad to get back into what I enjoy drawing. After my next show is over I plan to get more into my sketch diaries. I would like to start offering more original angel art on ebay. I want that to be the main thing I sell. I will also be drawing more fine art too...I can't forget that.

Just a quick Note

Just a quick note to all my customers and collectors. All of my purchase buttons on my site have been fixed. Some of them were not working and I had to go in and test them and fix them and re-test them again. You shouldn't have any problems now purchase art : )

Good Days and Bad Days

Last night I was feeling a little low in spirit. I got a little grumpy with my husband, Roy. I later apologized to him. Today is our 10th Anniversary. It's hard to believe we have been married for 10 years. It seem like yesterday that I was getting ready to walk down the aisle. We are going out to dinner tonight and to a movie. Sometimes Roy will take me out on dates. I think it is really nice.

On another note, I know I don't talk about my faith much, but I hope to change that. I have been reading a lot of my fellow Christian Fantasy artist blogs. I notice that they all are feeling a change in the air with there work. There fantasy work is leaning more toward the word now. A lot of my work has been drawn toward the word in the past as well as present. Though here lately I haven't got to work much on my Christian Fantasy projects. After my show is over I hope to work more on Christian Fantasy and fine art. I really miss working on my angels. I have a lot of really cool ideas. I'm not going to share them. I'm hoping you will get to see them soon. One in particular a preacher told me I needed to draw and I told him it is already in the works.

Also I just wanted to say there is a special fairy project inspired by a email a young woman sent me, I will be starting that project in Sept. I will post more about this project later.

This morning I had a really good talk to my mom on the phone about the Lord. We were talking about the news and everything going on. We both agreed that the Lord is coming soon. We are praying much for our unsaved loved ones. Well this is all for now. -God Bless holly : )

Blck Cherries

Things have been so busy around here, but I've been able to keep on top of things. I have made a tons of bookmarks with beaded tassels. I made cameo necklaces too. I made pandents, but they didn't turn out right. For some reason the settings and the clear cameos don't fit. I only ordered six of them, so it wasn't a big loss on money. I've been doing some drawing as well. I just finished a piece this morning. I got the rerference in wetcanvas.com. They have tons of copyright free photos for artist. This is the first fine art piece I have done in about 2 or 2 1/2 years. It was really nice to do something different for a change. With fine art I don't have to think and plan the piece to much. I plan to do a lot more fine art now. After my art show is over. I will be balance fantasy & fine art out.

Jackson's Mill Jubilee

Well it's that time of year again, when things are so busy I almost don't have time to breath. I am getting ready for the only local art show I do at Stonewall Jackson's Mill Jubilee, W.V. This year I hope to have my husband, Roy paint a few Coal Miner paintings. I have all my Fantasy Art ready and I'm working on fine art now. This year I hope to have more handmade bookmarks. Which last year they were a big hit I was cleaned out. I also will have note cards. I might have cameos, not sure yet, but I will try. I'm going to be very busy for the next two months getting ready for this show. I do have some help so it should go a little smoother getting ready for this years show than last years show. I'm wanting to draw a few of my own Coal Mining pieces. I will post more about the show over the next two months : )
