A few years ago I drew a series of the "Fruit of the Spirit" from the Bible. I enjoyed drawing them, but wanted to redraw them when I grew a little in my drawing skills. I put it off for sometime now, because I couldn't think how I was going to start it, but it finally came to me.

I've finally got around to updating my site. There are seven new prints available for sell. I have three new auctions on eBay.

I will be doing more updates to my site as often as I produce work. So that means probably every week or twice a week. So be watching for new art : )

Latest Art News For the End of May

I've been working on new art. So far I have 4 new pieces to release on my website. I really enjoy working on larger art. I have done so many aceo's it's nice to work on larger art. Some of the larger pieces are a more simple, but nice designs. I plan to do more of them. I will also be drawing more detailed art too. I'm planning on redrawing and releasing newer versions of my older art. Some pieces were never released before, do to not being able to scan them. Some art has all ready and is on the site now. I feel the need to do this, because my style has changed and I have grown in my art + I really like the older designs. After I release the newer versions I'm going to move the older versions onto a archive site, so they will still be available for sell.

I'm working on updating the site and reopening it soon. I'm going to draw some aceo's real soon to sell on eBay.

I've signed with a company to bring out products of my art. I'm not going into detail about it until the products are released.

Baby Savannah

Well It happened, and I had her on my due date. It was unexpected, because I went to the hospital on the 30th, because I felt funny and my blood pressure was really low. I had Savannah at 11:56 p.m. on the 1st.

Now that I beginning to recover, I will start drawing again, but I will take my time. I'm not ready to open my site up again. it will have to wait until I have enough work ready to release as prints. I might start selling soon on eBay. Probably as soon as I get a few drawings finished. So this all for now : )

Update on Baby and Art Business

Baby News
It's been awhile since I've updated everyone about what's going on in my life. I'm still pregnant, my due date is tomorrow. I'm looking to go over due with my baby. I'm hoping that nature will take it's course, but I'm not sure it will because it wouldn't with my first baby.

Art News
I have not been able to draw, because my back hurts and my belly is in the way. I have been coming up with really good ideas, and have sketched them out as thumbnails so as not to forget them.

I'm planning on coming back to work at least a month early if not sooner. I will try to have a couple new pieces finished to release. This all depends on how well I recover and the baby gets settle in. I will also be redoing the look of my site soon. I already have a draft of how I want it to look. Purple will be one of the main colors. My graphics will have a gothic church/castle type look with stain glass windows. I'm looking forward to drawing again and selling on my site as well as eBay : )

Sneak Peak of a Mermaid Drawing

Since my maternity leave I have been getting rest and preparing for the arrival of my daughter. I've also did a little drawing on days I feel like it. Here's a sneak peak of something I will release after I'm back from maternity leave.

I have other mermaid pieces sketched out too. I'm have a moon angel thumbnail that I'm going to sketch out hopefully soon.

I haven't been feeling to well this past week and my feet and legs have began to swell when I'm working. I've decided to start my maternity leave here in about 2 or 3 days. All the buttons will be disconnected on my site. You will still be able to browse all the galleries, but will not be able to purchase any art.

I will still be posting in this journal about baby updates and about future plans of art. The site will be back up and running sometime this summer or late spring.

I'm thinking of buying a button machine soon. If I do, I will offer pockets mirrors, buttons, and magnets of my work. I probably won't release them until after I'm back from maternity leave. I will probably release pocket mirrors first.

I've decided that I'm going to have to move up my maternity leave to the beginning of April. There's always that chance of the baby deciding to come earlier than expected and I want to have everything in my business in order before she arrives.

I just finished up my latest small mermaid sketch. I really like doing these drawings that fit the basketball card holders. I can put a little more detail into them. I'm really pleased with how the sketch turn out. I put another jewel crown on this one like I did my "Ice Mermaid". This one is also holding a crystal staff. She will be a fairy mermaid. I won't post it until I finish it and I will also post my sparkly mermaid "Living Waters". These both will be available for "Buy it Now" on eBay or you will be able to bid on them.

I had a "buy it now" on both of them and they sold within a few minutes. Sorry to my customers who wanted to bid on these. I will probably be doing that with a lot of my up and coming auctions, because I'm trying to move art a little quicker. I will be selling art until sometime in April them I will be off for a few months for my baby. When I start back to work I will run regular auctions as well as some "buy it nows".

Other art News:
I know a lot of the psp groups are very sad and disappointed that I'm not letting them use my art anymore. This is temporary, because after I have my baby and get her settle in and back to work, I will sign with a psp licensng company and the groups will be able to purchase use of my art for use of tags. They will have access to art I never let them use before. I already have a company in mind, but I'm not going to share it at this time.

I'm working on two mermaid sketches that are a set. I'm going to try and have them finished before my next update, but I'm not sure if that will be possible, because there is a lot of detail in them. I'm also going to have to start another new fine art piece soon to auction off on eBay.

I don't have morning sickness like I did. The baby is becoming more active and her kicks are getting stronger everyday. MY husband has been helping out more, especially on his days off. That way I can get more art finished to sell to help get ready for our baby : )

New surfaces for colored pencils

I finished my latest piece "Valentine Angel" and updated my site. I'm very tired tonight in body. My baby is growing bigger and bigger inside of me. Everything is pushed up under my ribs.

I'm getting tired of working on stonehenge paper. It has it's limits after all. I'm going to try different types of paper. I was doing some research tonight and found some info about colored pencil on different types of papers. Some of the results are really beautiful. There is so much that I still don't know about this media. Some of the paper I already have, but haven't used it much. Some I've never heard of. I'm looking forward to trying new papers : )

New Year and New Beginnings

Well I made it through another year in one piece. I really thank God for that. I have my taxes together and already did my quarterly taxes, I just have to send them out in the mail. I'm working on a Victorian Angel piece. It's a Valentine Day piece, when it's finished I will update my site. It should be done in a couple of days, if not sooner.

The Up and Coming New Year

Since I last posted I've done even more research on felt and came across other links to other things that are so neat. I got some really cool ideas and got inspired by some really good altered art artist. I've been thinking about the New year and New Goals for the year. I know I can't set anything in stone, because I don't know how it will be after my daughter is born. She comes first, so if she demands my 100% attention she will have it. my son was a very good baby and I got some art done after he was born, but every baby is not the same. I will know for sure I will be taking a break from art right after she's born. I have to figure out her schedule and get everything organized before I can get back into any art.
I have decided not to do my show next year at Stonewall Jackson's Mill Jubilee. There's no way I'm going to have my stuff together for it. I know when I do go back, I will be selling a lot of new products and some things I will not be selling anymore, including framed art. I'm going to try and focus on dolls more for that show. I still will have prints and some originals unframed. Framed art is really hard to move. Most of my customers don't want framed art, and it's a pain to do all that work of framing it and not being able to sell it.
I want to try and start selling dolls on eBay, but I don't know yet. I'm still doing a lot of research and I haven't even got most of the stuff I need to make my dolls. I will be selling lots of 2d art including aceos.
I want to draw some princesses with unicorns and castles. Some Victorian angels too.
Roy will move my studio in the basement soon. I still don't have all my building supplies, but I have no choice but to move it. I'll make the best of it. I really need to try and spruce it up or something. I'm going to have to set up better lighting too.

Felt Goodies

I have discovered felt for the first time. Ok, well I knew about felt, but never knew the possibilities of it. So i've decided to take up a new hobby. I will be making little animals and other goodies to. I've been doing research for the last day. I have some ideas of how I'm going to have my art in with felt. You will see new products as soon as I get some made. Felt bookmarks, mirrors, and some other goodies. Also after the baby is born I will be getting into polymer dolls. I'm not going to stop my main thing which is creating fantasy art, I'm just going to incorporate my art in with these. I know everyone has been wondering when in the world am I bringing out my products, well I'm really motivated to work on them. I haven't bought all my supplies yet, but as soon as I receive the ones I ordered off of eBay, I will be able to get a start on it start : )

I went to the Dr. Monday. They did a ultrasound of my baby. I found out that I'm having a healthy baby girl. We are so happy. Can't wait to start buying little pink dresses.

I've started to sell on eBay again. I'm selling mostly aceos. They seem to sell faster than larger pieces. I still have morning sickness and it hits me mostly in the morning now. I try to draw only when I'm feeling up to it. Though there has been times when I'm just sick all day and I draw anyways. I haven't been able to update the site much. I want to change the graphic on my home page, just to give it a fresh look.
